Carolyn Davis McCalley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Winston Tilley McCalley,reigned as Queen over the pageantry of the 49th annual Beaux Arts Krewe Ball alongside King Tommy Amason. Queen Carolyn’s identity was kept secret until the coronation Feb. 5 at Boutwell Auditorium.
A full house attended the revelry surrounding Queen Carolyn and King Tommy, with his wife Yates.
Krewe members wore vivid red velvet capes, adorned with gold braid, and gold masks. The Great Hall was resplendent with beautiful banners representing Krewe members and flickering candelabra.
Ball guests were enchanted by the royal pages’ performance, carrying out an Aladdin theme.
